Description
Salem Methodist Chapel was built in 1904 in the Art Nouveau style of the gable entry type. The chapel had two storeys and round headed windows. A central door bay dominated the facade, with a wide segmentally arched doorway flanked by ashalr stonework with two Ionic columns and a frieze inscribed CAPEL Y BEDYDDWYR topped by a triangular pediment. Above this was a group of three round-headed windows topped by a Dutch gable shaped pediment with scrollwork to the base of the surround. The outer bays contained single windows and full height columns. By 1994 this chapel had been demolished.
