DescriptionSt Pauls Catholic Church was built c. 1891-93 from designs by the architect C. C. Jones of Cardiff. The builder was J. Gibson of Quayside. The building, as well as the adjacent school and presbytery, were demolished in the 1970s.
From Western Mail, 1893: 'The interior of the church is extremely beautiful, and some idea of its appearance may be gathered from the fact that, through the kindness of Mr. Corbett, the services of Mr. Pembry, decorator of Cardiff Castle, have been available to apply finishing touches to the decorations and to execute the work on the iron columns.'.
