Description
The original St Mark's church, Gabalfa, was located on the east side of North Road, close to the later intersection between the A469, A470 (North Road) and the A4056 roads. It was built in the period 1874-6 to designs of architect Thomas Waring of Cardiff. Its plan comprised nave, north and south transepts, chancel and south porch.
The church was eventually demolished to make way for the Gabalfa flyover road. A final service was held in April 1968 before the congregation moved to a new church nearby (NPRN 96063).
