Calvary Baptist Chapel was built in 1870 and rebuilt in 1937, when the Hope Baptist & Victoria Baptist from Ninian Park Road amalgamated . The 1935 chapel is built in the later Vernacular and Sub-Classical style. It is a bold and plain inter-war chapel, brick-built with a pan-tiled roof. The central gabled entrance bay has a prominent round-headed doorway set forward of the lower flanking wings. There are small windows on either side of the doorway and the absence of upper windows deliberately emphasizes the massing of the chapel. The original 1870 chapel is much modisied and now used as the Sunday School and hall.
