DescriptionThis is the traditional site of Aberffraw llys or princely court. Limited excavation in 1957, centred on the given NGR, located a drain, with indications of structures. A second area explored, about 150m to the south-east (centred on SH34966848), produced no results. Further work, in 1959, showed that these features could be associated with an eighteenth century farm or farmstead. It now seems that the llys was located in the area of Aberffraw village (see Nprn401126).
