Description

Long huts and enclosures immediately W of Pant--y-iwrch. The main building is 9m (E-W) by 4.5m divided in two by a cross-wall 3.5m from the W end. The walls are 0.9m thick and up to 0.6m high faced on both sides with large boulders. It is surrounded by small yards or enclosures, among which, 12.5m N of the house, is a small rectangular structure, similarly built, 4.8m by 3.6m. This group is presumably the 'Pant-y-iwrch' referred to in Bangor MS no.1939, U.C.N.W. (c.1450).

The remains are substantially as described above. To the W of the 'main building', the other side of the later field wall, is a small square enclosure measuring 3.7m internally. Its present walls appear contemporary with the later field wall but its alignment with the earlier structures suggests that it may have been originally part of them.
