Description
Glyn is a house of stone construction with a pitched slate roof. The existence of a medieval doorjamb and arch in the north wall suggest an earlier house but no further traces survive. The present house is of two periods. The western block was built in 1613, and the eastern block in 1644. The western block is of two-storeys with attics, the later block is three storeys. Some original windows survive. The interior of the house has been modernised and altered but retains some plaster panels and friezes. Of particular interest is a plaster relief above one of the bedroom fireplaces, possibly depicting a biblical or historical event, with its original colours surviving under limewash.
