Description
Built around the mid 19th century, following style of Joseph Hanson. Hendref is one of a symmetrical pair of semi-detatched houses. It is constructed of coursed, dressed stone with a slate roof and 6 sash windows in all, the outer ones in pair divided by jambs and the inner ones in a slight projection.

The ground floor has doors of 3 moulded panels (with overlights) in place of the inner windows, and 3-light, casement, bay windows in place of the outer pairs. There is a verandah across the whole of the ground floor, with a tiled roof supported on 11 turned wooden posts, rising into a gable in the centre, with balusters in the tympanum. There is a sill-band on the first floor and a plain moulded cornice.
