Description
A two storey building comprising an east-west range with wings. The walls are stone rubble under a gabled stone tile roof.
Originally a late medieval cruck-framed hall house. It was rebuilt in stone in the early seventeenth century and added to and embelished later in the century. Some changes were made in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The house is described as it was prior to extensive modification in the late twentieth century.
The early seventeenth century house retained the earlier two bay open hall. Post and panel partions divide a parlour and pantry at the upper end. The cross passage lies beyond a massive chimney breast. Beyond this is a byre with a cheese room above.
Later in the century the walls were raised to two full storeys. A stair wing was added on the north and a larger wing on the south, of two storeys with attics. Further work is associated with a date stone reading 'MM 1686'. The stair wing was enlarged and a massive chimney added to the south wing. The parlour recieved an ornamental plaster ceiling.
Later features include the south porch and a north lean-to range.
The house faces south. The ground and first floor windows are offset producing a chequer board effect. The upper windows are set within shallow cross gables and there are exposed beams above the lower windows.

The farmyard on the north-west has ranges on three sides. These are of stone rubble with restored stone tiled roofs. On the west is an eighteenth century barn. A single storey range runs north from the house. These were joined on the north by an open fronted cartshed, first depicted on OS County series 2nd edition (Brecknock. XLII.1 1904).
