Long-house derivative, probably early 17th Century. Byre transformed into kitchen.

Additional note
Pen-y-wern is a stone-built, long-house derivative, situated down-the-slope, but now has the appearance of a mid-C17th, 2-storey, 3-unit hearth-passage-entry farmhouse.
