Small 18th century single-storey white-washed cottage constructed of rubble stone on boulder foundations with graded slate roof containing tiny loft lights and end chimneys. The cottage has two recessed entranceways with small windows to either side, now containing 4-pane late 19th century windows. Adjoining the east end gable is a lower 19th century lean-to containing a rectangular 6-pane sash.
The cottage was the birthplace of Richard Owen, the bard 'Glaslyn' (1831-1909), which a modern slate plaque records.
