Description
An early nineteenth century house or villa, perhaps of about 1807. It was set in extensive grounds (NPRN 86499) with farmbuildings on the far side of the road.
The house is two storeys with basements. A long, lower two storey wing adjoins on the north-east with a service court behind. A later nineteenth century veranda runs around the remaining sides of the house. The walls are of coursed stone under a hipped slate roof. The house faces north-west towards the Menai Strait, the entrance front facing south-east towards the public road. These main facades are three bay and the south-west side facade is two bay. The central doorway in the entrance front has a porch with Tuscan pillars and pilasters.
The interior retains many details and fittings.
The north-east wing has long been a separate residence, Ty Coch Farmhouse (NPRN 16929).
