Description
Ty Newydd is a two-storey house with stone walls and a slate gabled roof with brick flanking stacks. It is said to be a former public house and cottage attached. The front elevation has two bays and a centre door bay and segmental headed openings. It is an C18 building which was extensively remodelled in the C19. This remodelling work included modifying some window openings and adding a pebbledash render with bands surrounding the adjusted windows to hide alterations around the openings. The rear elevations of the house are limewashed/painted rather than rendered and a late C18/early C19 three pane over six sash window survives on the upper floors.
