DescriptionCountry house, mostly demolished between 1945-56: the early 18th century house, of five bays and three storeys, with a central entrance in its main, south-west facade, had low wings, subsequently raised, & a porch, by Nash, added in about 1792; with further additions & modifications through the 19th century: the surviving block represents the rear section of the northern wing: the 18th century house is thought to have incorporated earlier fabric, possibly of the house recorded as having six hearths in 1679.
