DescriptionOne of the earliest domestic buildings in Butetown, number 7 Bute Crescent was built around 1840. It consists of three storeys and basement, with a stuccoed facade and an iron rail surrounding the basement. There is a large sash window surrounded by deeply moulded stucco voussoirs and quoins in the rusticated first-storey. The entrance is a single door with a rectangular fanlight above which is a cornice supported by corbels. There are similar cornices above the second-storey windows. Number 7 has been combined with number 8 and is now part of the Eli Jenkins public house.
