Undated regional house, having a chimney backing onto the entry, an outside cross-passage & a fireplace stair: named 'Cae Herbert' on OS County series 1st ed. (Glamorgan. XXXIV.4 1876), 'Cae Abbot' therafter (2nd ed. - 1899); thought to occupy site of med. monastic grange/estate centre (see Nprn19170).
