DescriptionThe Court House dating from the sixteenth or seventeenth-century, is believed to be the earliest surviving structure in Merthyr Tydfil and is thought to take its name from an ancient courthouse on this site. In the early 20th century the Court House was used as a Girls' School. Much of the house was completely reshaped and extended to the east and the south after it became the Merthyr Tydfil Labour Club.
