Description
Probably built late C17, Downs Farmhouse is a large, two-storey farmhouse with a symmetrical frontage. It is built from rendered stone, with a slate roof with end and ridge stacks. It has lobby entry plan with a central back to back fireplace dividing the hall and the parlour. There are two window ranges each side of a narrow central entrance bay, all with decorative C20 glazing to the casements. The interior retains much of its original layout, with open fireplaces built back to back and broad chamfered beams with ovolo stops.

It is listed as a large symmetrical C17 farmhouse of relatively unusual plan retaining much of its historic fabric.
