James Grove Farmstead is no longer shown on modern mapping and recent aerial photographs show little evidence of the buildings.The Farmstead was visited by Harry Brooksby of RCAHMW in 1974, the farmhouse was described as being an overgrown ruin with only one complete gable standing, to the north-west of the house lay the ruins of a corbelled pig-sty.
