DescriptionVillage House, Colwinston, is probably an early 17th century cottage which was improved in c.1700. The house is built of local rubblestone walls with plastered and painted cladding and has a gabled thatched roof with gable-end stacks. It is T-shaped with a 2 unit front wing, the rear kitchen wing and stair turret were probably added about 1700. The 19th century cottage fenestration was replaced in a full refurbishment of 1997-8.
