Description
The former farmhouse at Bugeilyn was shown in its current position on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of 1891. When visited in July 2006, the roof appeared to have only recently collapsed. The front of the house faced southeast with a central doorway and window either side, each with brick voussoirs, and three windows in the storey above, the voussoirs to which had gone. The roof seemed to have collapsed into the interior of the house relatively recently. The internal woodwork was clearly visible inside the building. The chimney in the northeast gable still stood to full height including chimney pots, and the exterior of that wall had been protected by slates. The southwestern gable had a breeze block buttress but had still largely collapsed. The rear of the house seemed to mirror the arrangement of the front but another building at right angles to the house butted onto the house, distorting the arrangement.
