DescriptionThe conical stone chimney survives from a house or cottage depicted on the OS County series 1st edition (Pembroke. XL.4 1865), but demolished in about 1870. The chimney, with its ovens, served as a communal bakery until 1927.
The chimney is likely to be a seventeenth century structure. It stands 5.0m high and is built of local stone with a projecting cap and dripstone. It was placed laterally at the rear side of the cottage. There are two ovens, the larger of which, in a domed projection on the north side, is apparently a later addition.
