18th century. 2 storey. Rear wings. Rubble. Hipped slate roof. Massive chimney. Recessed sashes. Glazing bars.
The house has late medieval features at the rear, including the remains of a corbelled out chimney stack on the North wall, hidden within an outbuilding. This is similar to those now visible at Flimston, Prickeston and formerly Moor. The house was rebuilt in c1820, using as much of the old fabric as possible. In the early 19th century the old house was described as only partially roofed and uninhabitable. The rebuild coincided with the replanning of the farms in this part of the Stackpole estate, following the acquisition by the estate of the parts of some properties formerly belonging to Orielton.
