Description
Begun in 1785 and completed in 1790, the Library/County Hall at Ruthin was originally built to house the Great Sessions records, but in 1786 it was decided that it should also serve as a county hall. The hall has an ashlar front and tetrastyle pedimented portico with wide unfluted supporting columns. The courtroom has a venetian window either side and is separated by a Roman Doric screen.
