DescriptionThis Milestone is approximately 2.5km east of Sennybridge on the north side of the A40. This is a very well-cut block of red sandstone, with the front edges chamfered and the top neatly curved. whitewashed and ineptly painted. The quality of the lettering deteriorates towards the bottom, and it is possibly the work of two different masons. It is probably of the late 18th century, and reads: 'To Brecon 7 Miles, To Trecastle 5 Miles'. The original site was at SN 9474 2933, just to the east, but it was moved to the edge of the new road alignment.
