The wreck is lying with its keel orientated 140/320 degrees. Wreckage has been reported to extend for some 61m (200ft) and to be concentrated in two areas. The wreck has a height of 2.4m above the seabed, and has caused a scour to the depth of 1.4m.
Event and Historical Information:
The wreck was first reported in July 1975. Trinity House placed a warning buoy soon after and issued a Notice to Mariners was issued (NM 1604/75). The identity of the STROMBUS was suggested (see NPRN 274201). The wreck was dispersed by Cosag Diving Ltd, Great Yarmouth, by September 1977. It was examined by HMS FOX in July 1980.
