The quarry is cut into the northwest - facing slope of a natural Limestone outcrop. The quarry is scoop-shaped. It is excavated into level ground and has a depth of 1.5m. It would appear that the quarry was formed to extract walling stone. Includes 3 limestone chippings piles in front of the quarry face between 15m and 4m in diameter and waste heaps of burnt lime in front measuring 20m in length, 10m in width and 4m high. The ground cover was bracken at the time of survey. B. Britton and G. Arnold, ArchaeoPhysica Ltd, 28/01/2009
