Description
The building is on a ridge with a shake hole and small valley 20m to the west. The circular building was a hut and built along contour. The walls lack mortar and are built from stone and are faced internally with rough stone and faced externally with cut stone. They are 1m thick and not built on orthostats. The position of any hearth is not evident. The position of the doorway is not evident. The eaves where they survive are 1.5m high. The building measures internally 9m by 9m. A circular shepherd shelter or Hafod which has substantially collapsed in on itself creating a large pile of stones. The doorway is still visible on the southern side, with straight, cut stones and substantial masonry. The ground cover was bracken at the time of survey. G. Arnold, ArchaeoPhysica Ltd, 19/01/2009
