Located in a gap at the edge of a plantation, the cross measures 24.5m (E-W) by 18m. Now ungrazed, the site is overgrown with thick grass and moss. The ditches are no longer clearly defined, apart from that on the S side of the E arm of the cross which was least distinct when visited by OS in 1961. The banks of the cross rise to no more than 0.25m.
