Located on the crest of a moorland ridge is an oval cairn (1). It is one of a group of mounds recorded hereabouts believed to have arisen through land improvement (2).
The cairn measures 8m (N-S) by 6m and 0.5m high. It is marked by a central hollow 1.5m across and 0.5m deep, spoil discarded to the north-west edge of the mound. It is densely overgrown with bracken.
