Description
Across Ramsey Island are the earthwork remains of countless fields boundaries which range in date between prehistory and post-medieval. The field boundaries are mostly concentrated around the two summits of Carn Llundain and Carn Ysgubor. Prehistoric field systems divided the peaks and slopes of both summits. The fragmentary remains of medieval and post-medieval field boundaries and ridge and furrow can be found to the north of Carn Ysgubor and to the north of Ramsey Farm. Numerous shallow ploughed out field boundaries are also visible on 0.25m in the south of the island.
