Description
A deserted rural settlement on the east-facing slope of Twyn y Neuadd, either side of a small stream. This site consists entirely of drystone structures, the most significant of which are two longhouses (NPRN 246002 & NPRN 246116). The latter of these appears to have been modified after abandonment into a rough sheep shelter or fold (NPRN 246005). Associated with the longhouses are a small long hut (NPRN 246004), two sub-circular folds or pens (NPRNs 246003 & 246007) and a small shelter (NPRN 246006). The shelter is only c.4m in diameter and appears to have originally had a corbelled roof, which has collapsed to leave a circular stone pile. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 12 December, 2008.
