Description
This appears to be a mutilated stone cairn, which has been damaged on its northwest side. The cairn is c.10m in diameter and up to 0.4m high. Its margins are now largely obscured by grass and reed cover, making its precise extent difficult to determine. To the northwestern side of the cairn is a stone pile composed of relatively large stones, measuring 3m east-southeast by west-northwest by 1.25m. This has been interpreted as a modern cairn, but it may be the remains of an original cist and some evidence of structure is discernable. Many of the cairns in the immediate vicinity have similar stone piles visible atop the denuded cairn body. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 9 February 2009.
