Description
Felin-y-Gors is thought to have been built at the same time as the extensions of Bodelwyddan Castle by Joseph Hansom, 1830-42, and intended to be a picturesque landscape feature in the castle park. The building is algned approximately east-west, and the west gable, facing the castle, is decorated with flanking bays and crenellated parapet. The other elevations are relatively plain, built of limestone rubble under a pitched slate roof. At the east end was a wide wheelpit, and inside there are said to have been two pairs of stones; all the machinery has been removed, and the mill converted to a cottage.
