Description

Belmont House is an 18th century house with 19th century restorations and additions. It is a 5-bay, 3-storey double-pile house of rubble construction with a stuccoed facade and pitched slate roof. The stairs have wrought iron balusters and rail which lead up either side of the original 3-window section of the house. This section is c.1795, although the porch over the entrance is 19th century. There are sash windows to all floors. The 2-bay addition to the right is slightly recessed, with sash windows and a service entrance to the basement floor. Interior features include a 17th/18th century oak staircase.
