Description
1. Early 19th century stone rubble walls with round coping. RCAHMW, 9th November 2005.

2. This garden wall is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire XXVIII, sheet 13 (1904). C.H. Nicholas, RCAHMW, 8th August 2006.

3. A rectilinear walled garden laid out along the tow path of the Brecon and Abergavenny Canal (NPRN 85124). Possibly a market garden or else a pleasure garden.
The first edition OS Brecon Town Plan of 1888 shows paths within the perimeter and forming a central cross. Trees are shown within the walls and about the paths.
The Canal Bank cottage row (NPRN 25219) abutts on the west, with the eastern cottage set within the angle of the garden walls, presenting a curved front to the garden. A glasshouse adjoins the cottage and a second, smaller, example lies further to the east. Other buildings abutt the southern wall.
There is an outer walled area to the west, possibly a common cottage yard. This appears to respect the layout of the racecourse depicted on the first edition OS County series (Brecknock. XXVIII.13 1889).
