Description
A property in two parts. The south-eastern block is an L-plan, two-storey, seventeenth century structure with eighteenth century detail. It shows two window fronts to both Lion Street, featuring a sundial, and Lion Yard, which has a central door.
This was formerly part of the Golden Lion Inn, including the "Great Room". Interior details include a fireplace and moulded ceiling beams.
8-9 Lion Street (NPRN 25724, 25725) were also part of Golden Lion.
The north-west block is a three storey building, probably eighteenth century, showing a three window, stuccoed front above a modern shop. The interior has original doors and doorcases.
