DescriptionLater seventeenth century style square gatepiers flanking the formal entrance to the north-western gardens at Old Gwernyfed (NPRN 25948).
These are built of rusticated limestone ashlar, with stepped pyramidal caps rising to ball finials. Stumps of the rubble garden wall stand to either side, including an apse-headed niche on each side facing the house.
