Description
Thought to be a seventeenth century house, later much extended, altered and otherwise modernised.
The original building is a tall, L-plan gentry house. The main block is two storeys with attics, with a prominent chimney stack in the north-west gable end. There is lean-to wing on the north. The walls are of stone rubble with some boulder quoins, sometimes rendered and all whitewashed. There is a two storey addition on the north-east and an added single storey kitchen with a hipped roof on the south-west. Both are depicted on the 1st edition OS County series (Caernarvon. XL.3 1889).
The interior retains some chamfered ceiling beams.
In 1889, as now, the house faced south-east, where a carriage turning circle is shown. A single storey range on the north-west includes a piggery.
