Description
A late nineteenth century lodge associated with the mansion of 1877 (NPRN 26056).
The lodge faces east onto the entrance to the drive. It is a Tudor style confection, rubble stone walls on the ground floor and a gabled half-timbered upper storey. Facing the drive the ground floor has a polygonal bay window under the jettied-out upper storey and a doorway opening immediately behind the drive gates. There is a tall stone chimney stack. Each floor has two rooms, all originally with a fireplace(?). A low, flat-roofed extension has been added on the south.
The monolithic square gatepiers have shallow stepped pyramid caps. There are timber gates.
