Mill, working for the Nant Gwyllt Estate, used to saw all timber for the estate as well as grinding oats and barley; also a kiln for drying grain. Earliest known reference to mill was in 1806. In 1892 mill drowned by reservoir

The mill site is under Caban Coch Reservoir (nprn 32518), first flooded in 1896.
