1. Gardens & landscaping features associated with 18th C. house (Nprn28918), depicted on OS County series (Montgomery. XI.10 1886): in addition to walled gardens on the W & S of the house, the fields to the W & N appear to have been planted with an informal array of trees, having a possible lake (apparently shown as mostly silted in 1886), following the outline of a river oxbow, running between; a tree/shrubery clump in the west field is still (1994) extant.

2. This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Montgomeryshire XI, sheet 10 (1901). Its main elements on that map include isolated geometric copses, pond, parterres and a kitchen garden.
