The OS 25 inch plan of 1886-7 depicts the following: an area of lawns, planted with coniferous/deciduous trees, about the house; a walled garden, c.46m N-S by 40m, SW of the house, APs show this to be currently (1996) occupied by a formal garden; a wooded/wilderness area NW of the house, APs show a triangular feature in this area (at ST49249377), possibly a pond; drives leading to the WSW & SE, the latter possibly having a lodge at its entrance, now gone.
