The banks of the Grwyne Fawr river are stone revetted at this point with metal spikes in the river bed. No weir is shown on the Ordnance Survey maps at this point but it may be connected with the small temporary reservoir constructed before the main reservoir. J.J.Hall, Trysor, 10 December 2007
