OAN field survey, located by GPS to an accuracy of +/- 1m. A group of five disused mine shafts at the roadside side shown on the current OS mapping. They have associated spoil heaps and a trackway running north east-south west. The largest shaft is approximately 15m in diameter by up to 2m deep, although the average is 8m in diameter. To the south west, about 40m upslope the remains of further industrial activity can be seen with various spoiheaps, cuttings and a distinct level building platform area.
