OAN field survey, located by GPS to an accuracy of +/- 1m. A small grouse butt located at the centre of Ruabon Mountain and shown on the current OS mapping as one of a long line of butts. The site was heavily masked by heather and only this butt was seen. The grouse butt is roughly 2.5m in diameter by 0.3m high. It has a low central depression and a circular ditch around the sides. The stones are mostly earthfast and covered in lichen.2003/02/11/OAN/NW
