Linear gully aligned E/W, with earth banks (spoil) on both sides. Adjacent to trackway NPRN 269479. Overall dimensions 8m x 5m x 0.5m deep. This site is one of a number of similar trial excavations on the common, which are prolific on the slopes of Lan Wen, to the SE. (R Hankinson, CPAT, 22/01/03)
