Description1. Quarry shown on the 3rd ed OS, 1922. Approximately 30m E-W diagonally across the sloping hillside, up to 15m high, with exposed quarry face.

2. This is one of a series of quarries situated on either side of Llanfoist Incline stage 3 (NPRN 91650). These may well have provided stone for elements of the Llanfoist inclines (NPRN 405096), such as the revetment walls and blocks which held the iron rails of the tramway in place.
The quarries were surveyed by RCAHMW in 2004 as part of an investigation of the Llanfoist Inclines.
