Type 23 'bullet-proof' pillbox. Rectangular plan divided into an open rear pit and an enclosed front chamber. Embrasures in all walls. Socket in floor of rear pit to accept a 4 x 2 inch timber post to mount an AALMG. Door in south east face of central wall, approached down steps from AALMG pit. Two steel rung steps in rear wall for access. Listed in Wills: SN 400 047.
