Type 26 pillbox. It faces almost due N with the a bank at the rear running E to W. In addition the estate on which it is located was, according to oral accounts, an explosives factory (many structures from this period remain). Due to the various buildings the fields of fire would have been restricted. The entrance is presumed to be at the rear.
